Nicolas Pepe withdraws from Ivory Coast squad to work on fitness with Arsenal

Arsenal forward Nicolas Pepe has withdrawn in the Ivory Coast squad to operate on his fitness center in London. It is understood the 24-year-old will go back to London Colney to prepare for your forthcoming Premier League fixtures and does not have an accident. Pepe did spend a brief time during the break with his national squad but both Arsenal and the federation agreed that it was best he

didn't feature in the coming friendlies from Tunisia and Benin. The 24-year-old joined Arsenal to get a club-record # 72m charge in August from Lille but was late to join up with the squad after his exploits at the African Cup of Nations in the summer, where the quarter-finals were reached by Ivory Coast. Pepe left his Premier League debut in the chair on the opening day of thisseason together with his start coming in the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool until his first taste of their north London derby ended in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham at Anfield. He's yet to open his Premier League account, but will be hoping to rectify this in Arsenal's next game away at Watford on September 15, live on Sky Sports Premier League.
