Newport County’s Ryan Inniss given five-game ban for biting
The FA has handed newport County defender Ryan Inniss a five-match ban for biting.
Inniss was sent off for violent behaviour County lost 5-4 into West Ham U21s on Wednesday, September 4 and has been charged within an EFL Trophy game that.
The 6ft, on loan from Crystal Palace, was dismissed late to the episode which included Hammers left-back Reece Hannam.
An FA statement read:"Ryan Inniss has announced
that a violation and been suspended due to his next five first-team aggressive matches with the individual Regulatory Commission.
"The normal three-match ban which would usually use was clearly inadequate."
Speaking immediately after the game, County manager Michael Flynn confessed he could not shield the loanee.
He said:"Their player said he got humiliated, so I will have a look at this and find out what happened.
"When he hasbitten him, it's inexcusable and that I will not be fighting his corner."
The 24-year-old, that has captained Palace's reserve side and is on his eponymous loan bargain away from Selhurst Park, will now miss Newport's games against Northampton, Macclesfield, Exeter, Swindon and Carlisle.
