Jim Jefferies recovering after heart attack
Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies and former Hearts is currently recovering after suffering a heart attack while playing golf.
The 68-year-old is now recovering from the hospital and had been taken by ambulance after collapsing on golf course in East Lothian.
Directed the Tynecastle side beating Rangers 2-1 at Celtic Park. He is presently sporting director at Edinburgh City.
"As has been reported in tonight's press, sporting director Jim Jefferies endured a heart attack earlier today whilst on the golf course," an Edinburgh City announcement said.
"We can confirm
that club chairman Jim Brown has talked to Jim about the phone this day and are very happy to say he is in good spirits and excited about making a full recovery.
"Both the club and Jim would like to thank everybody that has been in contact to wish him well and appreciate greatly their kind thoughts at this tricky moment."
He managed Dunfermline, Berwick Rangers, Falkirk, Bradford City, Kilmarnock and, most recently, and had two spells in charge of Hearts.
