I don't think it's fair to compare the 2 pubs. They are totally different. True Nelson is more a traditional pub but Lion is certainly nothing like a Weatherspoons outlet. I like both pubs and depending on my mood, make my choice. If I want a more typical, stuffy, woody pub experience, Nelson it is. If I want a more chic surrounding, more upscale, good table service and very good food with a pint of Guiness, the Lion it is. I love their big juicy burgers. The food may be more expensive than other pubs, but is normal in compairson to Swiss prices. and the food is very good and of better quality than other pubs.
